The 1998 Ultra set was issued in two series totaling 425 cards. Series 1 contains 225 cards including a limited 25-card subset of rookies (#201-225) with an insertion rate of 1:3 and 3 checklist cards. The fronts feature borderless color player photos. The backs carry player information and career statistics. The basic hobby set includes a special card honoring the achievements of Reggie White. Also, 25-cards were randomly inserted in hobby packs which were redeemable for an autographed Reggie White mini-helmet.
