The 1998 Bowman set was issued in one series totalling 220 standard size cards. The cards feature 150 veteran players and 70 prospects. The gold-foil fronts feature a silver and blue logo design for the prospect cards, while the veteran cards show a silver and red design. A 220-card Bowman Inter-State parallel set was also produced which indicated what state the pictured player was from. The card backs display a custom-tailored vanity plate.
